Update: The Brookhaven Police Department and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department have announced the arrest of Amanda S. Noble, the primary suspect in a series of mailroom burglaries at local apartment complexes.
According to the authorities, on Sunday, Sept, 21, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office identified Noble as a passenger in a stolen vehicle that was last seen in Clayton County.
The van, which sped away, turned down a dead end street and crashed while being pursued by authorities. Both occupants of the van ran from the scene. The driver, later identified as Donald Johnson, eluded authorities. The passenger was identified as Noble and detained.
Noble, who remains in Fulton County Jail, faces two counts of willful obstruction of law enforcement officers – misdemeanor, one count of theft by receiving stolen property – felony, and one count of VGCSA – possession of controlled substance in schedule I or schedule II with intent to distribute.
Arrest warrants for Johnson, 47, have been obtained for attempting to misrepresent tag, possession of marijuana, less than one ounce, VGCSA – Possession of controlled substance in schedule I or schedule II with intent to distribute, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers – misdemeanor, driving – hit and run, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer during the commission of certain crimes, reckless driving, and theft by receiving stolen property – felony.
“I am proud of the women and men of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office who are committed to fighting crime within Fulton County,” said Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat in the release. “FCSO law enforcement assets patrolling the streets of Fulton County have proven effective in getting bad actors off the street, from fugitives to impaired drivers. We remain dedicated to keep our communities safe.”
Noble, 44, is thought to be responsible for multiple mail thefts across the metro area, including the Aug. 23 burglary at an apartment complex in Brookhaven, when nearly 100 packages were stolen, according to the BPD release.
Noble had been seen leaving in a white Ford Transit-style van, possibly a 2017 model, and has also been linked to other vehicles, including a yellow Penske-style box truck, the release said.

Noble, according to DeKalb County Jail records, has been jailed at least 11 times between 2018 and 2025, charged with shoplifting, burglary, theft by taking, credit card fraud, probation violation, obstruction of justice, destruction of mailboxes and mail, trespassing, and several charges of failure to appear.
Jail records indicate that Noble was jailed on June 18 for violating her probation and released on July 31.
Anyone with information about Johnson’s whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
