The City of Atlanta Municipal Clerk’s Office has officially announced the city council and board of education seats heading for a runoff election on Dec. 2.

The positions include two Atlanta City Council races and three Atlanta Board of Education seats that weren’t decided on Nov. 4.

Under Georgia law, when no candidate receives a majority of the votes cast in any race for public office, a runoff election must be held between the two candidates with the highest vote totals.

District 8 At-large
Kaycee Brock (33%)
Royce Mann (27%)

The deadline for submitting an absentee ballot application for the runoff is Nov. 21, while advanced voting will be held Nov. 22-26. Early voting locations will be announced soon by the Fulton County Elections Office.
