The Work of Change
Nov. 5 — Change doesn’t just reshape. It also reveals what endures.
As part of the MOCA GA Working Artist Project, painter Corrine Colarusso’s “Runaway Universe” considers transformation through the rhythms of the natural world, translating the fleeting light and weather of Georgia’s landscapes onto canvas.
Along the Beltline, this year’s ATL StyleWriters Jam is gathering generations of Atlanta graffiti artists, including pioneers like Dr. Dax and Antar Fierce who helped turn a once-outlaw act into part of the city’s visual identity. For Dax and Fierce, the public celebration of their art marks a cultural shift decades in the making; for newer voices like VAYNE, it’s a reminder to protect the roots beneath recognition.
And across the city, MARTA’s newest Artbound Bus Wrap carries the spirit of transformation on the move, turning public transit into a canvas for cultural identity and pride through a design by Edwin Villalba and Sabdiel Rodriguez Ortiz.
Honor the shifts.
