Four Atlanta-area museums have officially joined Bank of America’s “Museums on Us” initiative, the financial institution announced this week.

The Bartow History Museum, Booth Western Art Museum, Savoy Automobile Museum and Tellus Science Museum (all based in Cartersville, GA) are now part of the nation-wide program, which provides free general admission to participating museums during the first full weekend of every month.

The offer is available to cardholders that are with either Bank of America, Merrill or Bank of America Private Bank.

To receive complimentary admission, attendees can simply present their credit or debit card (along with photo ID) at participating museums during the designated weekends.

With the additions, metro Atlanta now has seven Museums on Us participants, joining the Atlanta History Center, High Museum of Art and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Across the state of Georgia, the program features a total of 15 museum partners.

Established 25 years ago, Bank of America created Museums on Us as a way to connect its clients with artistic, historical and cultural institutions, with the goal of expanding access to the arts.

Among the list of subjects that are showcased at the participating museums in Atlanta and North Georgia include art, science, history, automobiles and civil and human rights.

Bank of America users can find the full list of museums enrolled in the program by using a location finder tool on the financial company’s website.
