MARKET UPDATE
⚖️ The Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariff agenda 6-3, prompting a defiant president to sign a new executive order imposing a 10% global tariff and blast two of his own nominees, calling their decision “an embarrassment to their families.”
🎧 The WSJ’s “The Journal” podcast analyzes what the White House may do next, and “The Daily” from The New York Times has a look at why the Court ruled as it did.
📈 Stocks finished higher after the tariff news. For the week, the Dow gained 0.3%, the S&P 500 climbed 1.1%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq broke a three-week losing streak by gaining 1.5%.
Locally, Delta Air Lines jumped up almost 3%, while Coca-Cola, Home Depot, and Equifax each rose by about 1%.
