Monday, April 6 — A dramatic late-game comeback fell short when Mary Washington scored at the buzzer to beat Emory 75-73 in the NCAA D3 Championship game Sunday afternoon. UCLA won its first NCAA women’s basketball championship, beating South Carolina 79-51 yesterday. No. 1 Michigan and No. 2 UConn meet in Indianapolis for the men’s title tonight at 8:50 p.m. (TBS, truTV, TNT).

🚨 A 16-year-old girl was killed, and a 15-year-old was wounded in a shooting in Piedmont Park on Saturday night. Police are still investigating the motive and looking for a suspect. The incident was one of seven shootings in the city over the weekend, including one that killed a three-year-old.
