The City of Tucker will host two public engagement events about projects coming to the city in the coming days.
Cooper Carry, the architectural and design firm behind the development of the Henderson Park Master Plan, will host a second open house at City Hall on July 23.
Community members met during the first two-day open house in early June to share feedback on what they wanted the park’s playgrounds, water play structures, trails, woodland restoration, and other infrastructure to look like.

During this week’s open house, Cooper Carry will identify enhanced aesthetics and functionality of the park, options for underutilized portions of the park, opportunities to expand and improve existing amenities, and options for additional parking and pedestrian connectivity. The firm will also evaluate the potential for additional pickleball courts or a community center.
The open house will last from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
On July 30, the City of Tucker will host a public information meeting about the Idlewood Road Roundabouts project. Construction on the two roundabouts is scheduled to begin on August 10 and last 18 to 24 months.
During the meeting, residents will watch a presentation about the benefits of the project, the construction schedule, and what to expect during construction. This event is not an open house, but attendees will be able to ask presenters questions.
The event will be at Tucker City Hall at 5 p.m. The meeting and presentation will also be available live and recorded on YouTube.
