The Atlanta Beltline will hold its first-ever Housing Fair on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Monday Night Garage, 933 Lee St. SW, adjacent to the Southwest Trail.
The free event will bring together housing experts, nonprofit organizations, lenders and community partners to connect current and aspiring homeowners with resources, programs and services that expand access to equitable and affordable housing opportunities along the Beltline. Whether attendees are purchasing their first home, looking for financial assistance or learning how to rent along the Beltline, the Housing Fair will serve as a one-stop resource for navigating available programs.
Representatives from Atlanta Beltline, Atlanta Beltline Partnership, Invest Atlanta, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta Housing, Atlanta Land Trust, Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Westside Future Fund, affordable housing developers and additional housing organizations will be available on-site.
Attendees will also be able to learn more about the recently launched Atlanta Beltline Mortgage Assistance Program, created in partnership with Invest Atlanta. As the Beltline’s first down payment assistance program, it is designed to help legacy residents and public sector employees purchase homes within the Beltline Tax Allocation District (TAD) on the west and south sides of Atlanta.
To date, the Beltline has delivered 4,555 affordable housing units within the Beltline Tax Allocation District (TAD), reaching 81% of its goal to create or preserve 5,600 affordable housing units by 2030.
