The Decatur Book Festival is hosting a fundraiser on Aug. 13 to support the festival in October. 

Attendees will receive exclusive early access to the 2026 festival lineup and schedule, which includes more than 70 award-winning and celebrated authors from across the U.S., before the public announcement on Aug. 18. 

DBF announced 16 authors who will be featured during the annual festival on Oct. 2-3. The lineup includes Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Goldstone, critically acclaimed children’s authors Katherine Applegate and Gennifer Choldenko, New York Times-bestselling author Tomi Adeymi, poet laureate Arthur Sze, and award-winning novelist Tayari Jones.

The Decatur Book Festival fundraiser begins at 6 p.m. at Wild Heaven Beer in Avondale Estates. The fundraiser ticket includes two drink tickets, food trucks, and the opportunity to purchase and get signed the limited edition 2026 festival poster.

Tickets are $10 for kids, $35 for college students, and $50 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the DBF website.
