Tucker has made it to the postseason every year since 2007 and is seeking to make it out of the first round for the first time since 2017. In the last two decades, the Tigers have won seven region titles and have appeared in the state championship four times, winning two of them in 2008 and 2011. Wayne Jones enters his fifth season at the helm and is looking to take the Tigers back to the top. Jones has led the Tigers to three straight six-plus-win seasons and is looking to add to his 23-21 overall record in the new season.
Tucker enters a new region in 2026 as the Tigers will now face off against the likes of Cross Keys, Druid Hills, Maynard Jackson, Lithonia, Mays and Southwest DeKalb in Region 5-5A. Jace German is set to lead a talented Tucker offense after accounting for 1,530 passing yards and 15 passing touchdowns through the air to go along with 610 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns in his junior season a year ago. German is a 3-star quarterback recruit who committed to Boston College in June of 2026 after receiving more than 10 offers from programs around the country. German has thrown for over 3,300 yards in his career and is looking to dominate his senior season. Jamare Tolliver led the team in tackles in 2025 and will lead the Tiger defense in the new season.
