Heading into year two under head coach Nelson Stewart, the Wildcats are looking to improve upon their 2-8 season last year. They opened the year with back-to-back wins over Lovett (14-8) and Pace Academy (17-7) before dropping the final eight games of the season. 2028 tight end Owen Moore has been turning heads on the gridiron. Heading into his junior season, he will be a key piece of this Wildcats offense if they are to succeed, as he is poised to be one of quarterback Wyatt Garfinkle’s favorite targets.
The Wildcats open the year against Lovett and then take a trip to King’s Ridge Christian before crossing the border to Tennessee to take on Chattanooga Christian. They return to the Peach State for a matchup against Riverwood. After that, they take on North Springs in the “Pigskin Picnic.” Then, they take on West Paces Ferry rival Pace Academy. This is followed by games against Salem, Stephenson, Douglass-Atlanta and finally, Greater Atlanta Christian.
All of these games will be very important for the Wildcats if they are to make the playoffs. Pace Academy and Salem will be the two games to keep an eye on for Westminster in that playoff push. If the Wildcats can win both of those games, there is a good chance they can return to the playoffs.
