Queer artist and educator Charlotte Woolf has curated “You Are Not Alone: BUGS!,” a group exhibition featuring Atlanta-based artists, at Georgia State University Perimeter College.
Inspired by a popular Internet meme, the exhibition features art from painters, sculptors, photographers, and multidisciplinary artists whose work engages insects and their vital role within ecological systems.
Through themes of pollination, decomposition, labor, and interdependence, the show explores how insects shape the environments around us.
Featured artists include Sage Bader-Hottlieb, Eve Brown, Kelly Dillard, Matthew Evans, Thomas Flynn II, Larkin Ford, Lorelei Kincheloe, Kye Lenahan, Emily Llamazales, Genevieve Lucas, Gabi Madris, Magdalena O’Connor, Allen Peterson, Aaron Kagan Putt, Brooke Reid, Shana Robbins, Courtney N. Ryan, and Lizzy Storm.
The exhibition is a sequel to “BUGS!” which Woolf presented at Foxtrot Farm and Flowers during Upstate Art Weekend in June 2026.
“You Are Not Alone: BUGS!” is currently on view at the Fine Arts Gallery at GSU Perimeter College through Oct. 7. An opening reception will be held on Friday, Aug. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. and featured artists will host a talk on Sept. 17 from 3 to 5 p.m.
