More than 1,000 people have completed the One Northlake survey as part of an effort by Northlake leaders to develop a five-year plan for the district’s development.
Matthew Lee, the Executive Director of the Tucker-Northlake Community Improvement District, told Rough Draft that the One Northlake survey closes on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and results from the survey will be presented at a community meeting on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. at Tucker City Hall.

A community feedback meeting was hosted on Aug. 13. Lee said that more than 100 people attended the meeting.
“One early takeaway is that much of the feedback is focused on reinvestment and redevelopment at properties like Northlake Tower Festival and Briarcliff Village,” he said. “Another is that people want more places to gather.”
The One Northlake Plan will be developed by CID leaders – with support from a grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative – over the next several months to coordinate transportation and development strategies across the one-square-mile area spanning Tucker and unincorporated DeKalb County.
Lee and other CID leaders will incorporate the survey results and other in-person feedback into the One Northlake Plan, which will be presented to the City of Tucker and DeKalb Board of Commissioners for adoption in early 2027. Once adopted, further action will be needed for implementation.
