The Community Assistance Center is bringing together employers and jobseekers on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for the Sandy Springs Connects! Career Expo at City Springs, 1 Galambos Way.
Caitlin Webb, manager of the Central Perimeter-based nonprofit’s Empowerment Center, said finding the right job is more than submitting a resume online.
“It is about having the opportunity to talk with an employer, ask questions, make a connection and see whether the organization is the right fit,” Webb said. “The Career Expo is large enough to connect with a wide variety of employers located in the northern Perimeter area but small enough that qualified applicants and participants can spend time discussing questions around current and future opportunities, career paths and company benefits.”
What to expect at the job fair
The free, in-person event is part of the Central Perimeter-based Community Assistance Center’s career services, which provide job seekers with individualized support including career coaching, resume assistance, interview preparation, job-search strategies and connections to skills training and employment opportunities.
Employers from healthcare, education, hospitality, financial services, technology, government, professional services and other industries are expected to attend and recruit for a wide range of roles.
Participants in this month’s expo include Northside Hospital, RaceTrac, State Farm, Fulton County Schools, SR400 Constructors, and MARTA.
Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul said the city’s partnership with CAC and the Greater Perimeter Chamber continues to bring the job fair to the business community along with hundreds of talented, prospective employees.
“When you walk through the Career Expo, you can feel the energy of connections being made as people step away from their computers and have the opportunity to meet face-to-face, explore opportunities, and learn more about different career paths,” Paul said.
Central Perimeter nonprofit
Hosted by the nonprofit’s Empowerment Center in partnership with the City of Sandy Springs and the Greater Perimeter Chamber of Commerce, the Career Expo is open to all Atlantans and provides an opportunity to move beyond online applications through meaningful, face-to-face conversations with employers.
The CAC is the largest human services organization in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. Other client programs include basic needs assistance (food, clothing, and financial assistance), children’s programs, adult education, workforce development, and free tax assistance.
In 2025, the CAC coached 229 jobseekers with 65% reporting successful job placement.
The March 2026 Career Expo attracted more than 300 jobseekers representing a broad range of career stages, from those entering the workforce to experienced professionals with advanced degrees and management experience.
