FRANK, Atlanta’s collective of LGBTQ+ artists, will present an outdoor exhibition, “Taking Space,” beginning on Thursday, Sept. 24.
“Taking Space” brings together 36” x 24″ artworks by FRANK’s 13 members, which will be exhibited on the exterior of LOOP, an arts and event venue in West Midtown powered by the Goat Farm. These outdoor pieces are designed to change with the elements and will remain on display until they are weathered by time.
“Each 36” x 24” work is created with the understanding that it will change over time, developing a natural patina as it is exposed to sun and weather,” the collective wrote in a press release. “This temporary nature is intentional, reflecting the ongoing act of remaining visible and continuing to take up space.”

Founded in early 2025, FRANK is a community of LGBTQ+ artists based in Atlanta to create safe, inclusive spaces for queer voices and spark dialogue on art, culture, politics, sexuality, and gender. Since its inaugural exhibition last year, the group has added two new artists to the original 11: photographer Lynsey Weatherspoon and digital artist and photographer Ike Chinukwue.
Artworks by Weatherspoon and Chinukwue, along with fellow FRANK members Yousef Bushehri, Stan Clark, Billy Clifton-Strawn, David Clifton-Strawn, Orion Crook, Andy Jackson, Krista M. Jones, kbyte, Just Toby, Royce Soble, and Clint Zeagler, will be featured in the “Taking Space” exhibition.
The exhibition opens on Sept. 24 with a reception at LOOP beginning at 6 p.m. The free event will include music by DJ Brian Rojas. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP.
