Gallery Residential, a property management firm serving multifamily apartment communities and build-to-rent neighborhoods across the Southeast, has named Melanie Poole managing director of active adult living.
Poole will provide strategic and operational leadership for Gallery Residential’s active adult communities, overseeing portfolio performance, team development and resident experience, according to a release from the organization. She will also lead the development and expansion of the company’s active adult division, with a focus on hospitality-level lifestyle offerings.

Poole has more than 30 years of experience in the multifamily industry, including more than 20 years specializing in active adult communities, and brings expertise across the active adult, multifamily, and build-to-rent sectors. She has led initiatives spanning operations, lease-ups, training, redevelopment, ground-up development, Class AA new construction, and multimillion-dollar rehabilitation projects.
She has also helped create and launch new communities, developing policies and procedures, establishing operational standards and positioning communities for long-term success. Gallery Residential said her background will help shape its active adult platform around hospitality-inspired service standards, amenities and programming.
Poole’s expertise includes strategic planning, operations, budgeting, service delivery, amenity planning and community performance. She focuses on creating communities that meet residents’ evolving needs while giving teams the training and resources they need to succeed.
