Over $1.5 million was raised during the 35th annual AIDS Walk Atlanta Music Festival and 5k Run on Sept. 26, surpassing the $1 million goal.
Saturday’s event attracted over 3,000 attendees who walked and ran to support Atlanta-based HIV/AIDS services organizations. Highlights of the event include performances by headliner Kelly Rowland and contemporary R&B artist Algebra Blessett.
The $1.5 million raised will be donated to AID Atlanta, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, A Vision for Hope, Aniz, Inc., Bridge of Light, Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Georgia Equality, Lost-n-Found Youth, Positive Impact Health Centers, Rustin Institute, Status: Home, and Trans Women of Color Healing Project.
According to a 2025 report, Georgia ranked the highest in the country for new HIV cases.
