Ben Carter Properties has announced that The Streets of Buckhead will become the first U.S. mainland location for a Baccarat Hotel and Residences, the new luxury brand created by Starwood Capital Group. The Baccarat Hotel and Residences will be located along Peachtree Road between East Paces Ferry and Buckhead Avenue.

The hotel will include 100 guest rooms and 42 luxurious residences, with a Baccarat boutique purveying fine crystal adjacent to both the hotel lobby and the project’s streetscape retail. Baccarat has a 200-year tradition as one of the world’s premier manufacturers of fine crystal.

Meanwhile, Carter has also announced that John Lobb, a luxury men’s leather-goods boutique known for its high-end shoes, will open at The Streets of Buckhead and introduce a made-to-measure program allowing Atlanta patrons to custom order a variety of shoes.

Owned by parent company Hermes, the John Lobb boutique will occupy 902 square feet, next to the new Hermes store, located near the intersection of Buckhead Avenue and Bolling Way. Other John Lobb boutiques are in New York, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

“We believe The Streets of Buckhead is the ideal location to open the first mainland U.S. Baccarat Hotel and Residences,” said Barry Sternlicht, chairman and CEO of Starwood Capital Group.

“Baccarat’s status as an iconic brand is a perfect fit for a development seeking to reward the discerning resident and traveler with access to some of the world’s most celebrated luxury and lifestyle brands,” Sternlicht said. “Together with our 1 Hotel & Residences location, we are excited to be taking part in the revival of this dynamic neighborhood.”

Sternlicht is recognized as one of the lodging industry’s leaders in building great brands, having led the creation of W Hotels and St. Regis brands and the reinvention of Westin when he served as chairman and CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

“I am thrilled about bringing Barry Sternlicht’s newest luxury hotel brand, Baccarat, to The Streets of Buckhead,” Carter said. “The Baccarat brand is a perfect complement to the project and reflects a superior level of service for our residents and guests that is unsurpassed anywhere in the Southeast.”

The Streets of Buckhead is a $1.5 billion, eight-acre luxury mixed-use community currently under construction in the heart of the former Buckhead Village. The high-profile redevelopment will transform the area into a walkable streetscape offering more than 80 luxury boutiques, tony restaurants and sidewalk cafes.

The development is bordered by Pharr Road on the south, Peachtree Road on the West, East Paces Ferry Road on the north, and North Fulton Avenue on the east, with an additional parcel on the southwest corner of Peachtree and Pharr Roads.
