Via ElisaOn Saturday, Oct. 17, Via Elisa will close its doors to the Atlanta community for good.  Owner Elisa Gambino cites the “unforgiving economy” as the reason for closing the shop on Howell Mill Road.  She encourages customers to continue purchasing items through Whole Foods stores and will take orders through Oct. 16  to allow customers to stock up.

The line of Via Elisa sauces sold at Whole Foods Market stores, however, has continued to thrive and Gambino has announced plans to develop Via Elisa further as a sauce company.  She currently offers three sauces, Passionately Perfect Tomato, Diavoletta, and Sofia’s Sicilian Caper, each available in 16 and 32 oz. jars.
