Athena is a 2-year-old red and rust Doberman who weighs 57 pounds. This beauty came to us from an outlying animal control facility where she was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed by her owner. Athena is a very sweet and active girl. She is still learning to be a house dog and it is apparent that she has never been walked on a leash. She will need to go to a home with an experienced dog owner that can help her become a well-trained and well-rounded companion. She has really come around since she first arrived and seems to be happy. But she still is looking for a more permanent arrangement.
Mia is a sweet-tempered, 1-year-old Calico. She was found by a kind citizen who did everything in their power to find her owner. After weeks and weeks of posting signs and ads, no owner came forward and Mia made a trip to APR. Mia is truly a sweet girl who is affectionate and playful. She loves scratches on her head. She is also a vocal girl and enjoys having conversations with her humans. Mia will make a wonderful feline companion for most any home.
