Students from schools in or near Brookhaven have been selected to take part in the Governor’s Honors Program this summer. The program offers six weeks of instruction for intellectually gifted and artistically talented students, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Students selected as finalists for the program, according to the education department and the schools, include:

Chamblee High School: Henry Adams, biology; Parth Agrawal, math; Kaitlin Hansen, German; Mark Heneine, math; Carrie Moore, communicative arts; Karthik Nathan, German; Rodriguez Roberts II, German; Erica Seifried, German; Peter Woolfitt, math; Christina Curlette, math.

The Marist School: Loren Ramirez, French.

St. Pius X Catholic High School: Emily Pirkl, communicative arts; Paul Koenig, mathematics.
