Skyland Trail, a non-profit facility for adults with mental illness, formally opened a renovated and expanded treatment facility on Nov. 12.
The facility at 1961 North Druid Hills Road in Brookhaven contains a training and education center and a computer learning center.
Renovations and additions to the facility were financed through Skyland Trail’s capital campaign, launched in 2005, which raised $11.7 million for capital enhancements and programming, the non-profit facility said in a press release on Nov. 8.
“We are very excited with the expansion and state-of-the-art improvements to our facility,” Skyland Trail President/CEO Beth Finnerty said in the release.
