We got to see NeNe Leakes in full bitch mode last night on Celebrity Apprentice as she tore into La Toya Jackson following a fairly boring challenge to promote sunscreen to New Yorkers. Meanwhile, the men’s team tried to oust crazy Gary Busey and lost one of their strongest members in the process. Never underestimate crazy.
ASAP and Backbone were challenged to come up with street marketing campaigns for a suntan lotion, Australian Gold. La Toya and Mark McGrath were named project managers for their respective teams. The executives from Australian Gold were clear in what they wanted to see in the campaign: brand integration, use of the logo, tag line and cuddly koala mascot.
The ladies got the message, but the men decided to ignore the executives and go with a pirate theme created by Mark McGrath. John Rich wrote an annoying country jingle, while Meat Loaf and Busey acted like they were on the set of “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Washed-Up Years.” Busey even tried to snag a job as the official spokesperson of Australian Gold, cornering the nervous executives and infuriating the rest of the team. Busey had already skeeved out the female execs by stating the lotion made him feel “sexual.” Ick, patooey, blech.
Over at camp ASAP, La Toya immediately lost the plot as project manager. Cut to clips of Star Jones and NeNe calling Toy “unorganized.” The ladies built a combination beach and snow theme (because you need sunscreen when you’re skiing, too) and ticked all the boxes on the Australia Gold exec’s wish list, including NeNe in a koala bear costume (pictured).
When The Donald’s son showed up to check on the women, he pulled NeNe aside and she didn’t mince words. “If we lose this challenge, it means the men’s display was horrible.” The last straw for NeNe was having to unload 125 bags of sand from a truck that LaToya ordered at the last minute. They missed a chance to get Hope, the barely-there Playboy Playmate, in a bikini and get all the leering men to stop by and pick up some lotion. Insert your own dirty joke here. Instead, Hope was playing beach volleyball fully clothed with a model Toy hired.
In the end, the Australian Gold execs picked the women’s boring display because at least it was on message. That meant someone on team Backbone had to walk the plank. Mark McGrath had already decided to fall on his sword early in the game by stating he would take the blame if the concept failed. The Donald hates that, and although the team rose up to try and oust the addled Busey, McGrath was fired.
NeNe began her assault on La Toya in the boardroom, but it was after the women had been declared the winner and returned to the suite that NeNe opened up full barrel. Toy said she was hurt by NeNe’s comments in the boardroom and felt NeNe was personally attacking her. NeNe repeated the show’s tagline: “It’s not personal, just business.”
“Don’t act like you’re the reason we won, because you’re not,” NeNe said, adding if La Toya couldn’t handle the criticism she should “go in the bathroom and hide. Don’t try me – ever!”
La Toya called NeNe a big bully and refused to play along and went to her bedroom, but NeNe continued the verbal assault: “I worked my ass off while you sat there and looked like Casper the Ghost. Disappear, ghost! The only reason you’ve gotten this far is because of your last name. You faked it for 50 years. You are very old and you need to be your age and not 12.”
La Toya said all NeNe had was “mouth and height” on her side and they weren’t “cut from the same cloth.” All I can say is Toy better work on her ghost act, because she is history the next time the women lose a challenge.
nene is a rude woman, she has no grace or humility.
Nene Leakes may be playing for a charity for abused woman, but after watching he on television I can see she is a bully and abusive person.
nene is showing her true colors, no class at all!
NeNe is NOT the NEW Omarosa. NeNe’s actions and words against LaToya Jackson show her small talent and big mouth. She acted like the stereotypical big-girl who isn’t confident enough to be herself without bullying someone else up to her size. LaToya Jackson has an extensive entertainment career dating back to her childhood, is intelligent, and beautiful at 50+. Just because a person is soft-spoken doesn’t mean they’re a bimbo. But those who play to the stereotypical loud-mouthed, ignorant, jealous sistah type like NeNe wouldn’t understand that or know how to display grace as “true-diva.” She is putting sistahs back! Truth is Ms. Leaks would kill to be a “Jackson.” At least LaToya knows WHO her father IS; and I’m sure at this point he’s proud of what she’s accomplished with HIS name. Respect Mr. Jackson and what he did for his kids. Keep it real as you like to do, NeNe: you’re a new kid on the block who just got her break in the mediocre reality TV show industry at 43. Ms. Jackson has been “in the business” almost as long as NeNe’s been looking for her real father. Ms. Leakes…NO ONE in the world would by Greg’s shirt for $99,000!
NE NE is always just looking out for herself and is a total jerkface. My friend Mr. Pretzels thinks she is a real nice lady, but I have met her and I know the truth and that is that she is a not nice at all. I try to tell this to Mr. Pretzels but then he just starts talking about something else. I don’t think it’s fair.
