As of Oct. 31, a the Buckhead Community Improvement District’s traffic monitoring program has resumed. The off-duty police officers directing traffic along Piedmont Road and Roswell Road/Habersham Road returned to the program after working longer shifts to deal with the Occupy Atlanta protests.
“After a successful first night back on the job, we are pleased that our outstanding off-duty Atlanta Police Department officers are available once again to participate in our traffic officer program,” said Jim Durrett, the Buckhead CID executive director.
