The Sandy Springs Police Department has received a round of accolades for it’s book, “Signature Moments” from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.

The book, which offers a behind-the-scenes perspective of the police department, received two gold MarCom Awards in a contest hosted by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals. The categories were for “writing” and “marketing and promotional material.” Sandy Springs Police Sgt. Melanie Rowand compiled the book  over the course of three years.

“Signature Moments was selected in the 2011 competition from over 6000 entries from competitors from the USA, Canada, as well as several other countries,” the police department reported. “Proceeds from Signature Moments goes to the Sandy Springs Police Benevolent Fund.”
