Enter a secret garden of whimsy and spectacle with 7 Stages 9th annual Taste for Theatre, a wine tasting and silent auction benefiting 7 Stages a non-profit theatre. The event will be held Friday, May 11, in Druid Hills at Cator Woolford Gardens. Taste for Theatre begins at 7 p.m., and tickets are $50.

This year’s burlesque carnival theme is a departure from the events garden party feel in the past. The evening will include local and international wine, and catering by Sun in my Belly. One of Atlanta’s premier burlesque troupes, Musée du Coeur will serve as hosts and hostess for the evening. Imperial Opa will have on hand; uncommon people doing wondrous things. All of this plus, live music, games and, a silent and live auction featuring unique items will make this a fundraiser you won’t want to miss.

Taste for Theatre is 7 Stages largest annual special event fundraiser attracting hundreds of attendees. Last year’s event brought in over $40,000 which helped 7 Stages continue its mission of engaging artists and audiences by focusing on the social, political, and spiritual values of contemporary culture. Each season 7 Stages works with local and international artists to help shape the future of theatre around the globe. The summer education program, Youth Creates, now in its 10th year, works with teens from all over the world to create a show by young artists with a truly global perspective. 7 Stages also provides a home for emerging artists and arts organizations as well as performing arts mainstays, making it the arts center of Little Five Points.
