The highly anticipated 1 and 2 mile run/walk event for dogs and their owners welcomes all athletic levels, from competitive runners to casual walkers, and strollers and wagons are permitted. Held on Mother’s Day Weekend, this year’s event encourages fun for the entire family.
Proceeds for the 2012 event will benefit both the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA) Foundation , the support arm of the GVMA which supports benevolent activities in the areas of community service, the human-animal bond, animal health and welfare, veterinary student education, public health, and the preservation of wildlife, and Canine Assistants , an Alpharetta based non-profit organization that breeds, raises and trains working dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities and seizure disorders.
