Nearly 900 pounds of sweet potatoes and a classroom full of pooped kids later, the Food Bank is distributing this harvest to agencies serving the hungry. But that is not the whole story. These sweet potatoes are a part of a larger tale of giving and gardening in Atlanta.

We are fortunate to have a kid in this grade 3 class who along with her classmates, thoroughly enjoyed this experience. As the stack of crates of potatoes started to rise you could see the sense of accomplishment beaming from the faces of the children. What a great partnership with ACFB and a great fit with the Grade 3 farming curriculum!
