Atlanta’s Zone 2 police officers recently received a gift that will give them some different transportation options as they work their beats.

The Buckhead Coalition purchased two bike racks for Zone 2 police vehicles, and the racks can each hold three bicycles.

“This detachable equipment allows the three officers trained for this unit to travel to a beat or action destination quickly for the start of bike patrolling,” the Coalition said in a press release.

The Coalition, a well-funded non-profit civic association, routinely uses its money to assist Zone 2 officers.
