DumpThePumpMARTA’s first-ever “Dump the Pump Dash” Scavenger Hunt will be held Saturday, June 15, from noon to 4:30 p.m. starting at Five Points Station. Participants in the 3 ½ hour hunt through the rail system will be challenged to decipher riddles, locate places, find items and take photos.

Here’s how to do the Dash:

  • Form a team of 4 to 8 people
  • Purchase a 1-day, 7-day or 30-day Breeze pass for each participant
  • Be sure that all participants are at least 18-years-old
  • Sign-up at www.itsmarta.com/dump-the-pump-dash-form.aspx (You will not be able to register at the event.)

The Grand Prize includes an Apple iPad Mini, solar-powered backpack and USB solar-powered charger for each of the winning team members. The 2nd place team participants will each win a solar-powered backpack, and members of the 3rd place team will each receive a USB solar-powered charger.

During the event, participants and customers will be treated to live music provided by Kiss 104.1 FM and can learn more about MARTA’s sustainability initiatives.

The Dash is being held in celebration of the American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) 8th annual Dump the Pump Day on June 20th during which transit systems across the country encourage Americans to leave their cars at home and ride public transit. Each year, MARTA hosts events to thank new and returning customers for dumping the pump to save time, money and the environment.
