The new Junior Achievement’s Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center is now open on the upper mezzanine level of the Georgia World Congress Center.
The center is comprised of JA BizTown and JA Finance Park – two Junior Achievement programs that will expose students to hands-on, interactive learning to enhance their financial literacy and work readiness in Georgia.
Harry Norman, Realtors and Post Apartment Homes both have storefronts in JA Finance Park, where students will gain real-world experience on how to choose their first home. In addition, volunteers will be trained to guide students through budgeting decisions on home ownership and leasing options.
Beginning in this month, Atlanta Public Schools, DeKalb County Schools, Fulton County Schools and Marietta City Schools will integrate Junior Achievement’s financial literacy and work readiness education into the core curriculum for middle school students.
