A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with a carjacking that happened earlier this month in Midtown.
Nyquarious Edwards was located in Stone Mountain today and taken into custody by the US Marshals, according to a report from the Atlanta Police Department. He’s been charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of firearms possession during a felony, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of theft by taking for the vehicle an one count of kidnapping.
The incident happened on Oct .7 at around 8:15 p.m. on 9th Street. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras and after media coverage of that footage the APD began receiving numerous Crime Stoppers tips regarding the suspect. Investigators were able to positively identify the suspect and issued warrants for his arrest.
