Mayor Kasim Reed spoke to Atlanta Press Club on Friday afternoon and said he was  “deeply sorry” about the city’s response to the snowstorm, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Reed said if he had to do Tuesday over, he would have done things differently and was planning new protocols to respond to storm situations and developing a task force that would include the Atlanta-based Weather Channel.

Some drivers picking up cars towed by the state after Thursday night’s 9 p.m. deadline are angry that they are having to pay towing fees, according to a report from WSB-TV. Some drivers were hit with tickets of more than $100. If you abandoned your car on an interstate or state route and weren’t able to retrieve it, call 511 and have your tag number ready. You will be told where you car has been taken for impound.

Drivers who abandoned cars in the City of Atlanta have been given a reprieve: the Atlanta Police Department announced that it would wait until noon on Sunday to tow cars. After that, cars will be impounded and fines imposed on the owners.
