Ponce City Market’s first office tenant, athenahealth, unveiled its 60,000-square-foot space yesterday inside the mammoth mixed-use development. Construction on the new Walmart at Suburban Plaza near Decatur is slated to get underway this month with the store expecting to open in early 2016. Suburban Plaza is receiving a massive overhaul form Selig Enterprises, which is also bringing an LA Fitness and Starbucks to the shopping center. MARTA police are investigating the death of a man who was struck by a MARTA train at the Georgia State station this morning after 5:30 a.m. According to MARTA, the man was in an authorized area when he was struck by the train. The station has reopened but single-tracking is in effect from King Memorial, Georgia State, Five Points, and the World Congress Center/Georgia Dome.
