The Atlanta Police Department has released surveillance video of the suspects wanted for shooting and killing a construction worker, Joshua Richey, in the parking lot of the Kroger at 725 Ponce de Leon Ave.

As the video begins, you will notice a black vehicle – described as a BMW 3 Series – back into a parking space and two individuals exit.  The video then shows the vehicle as it leaves  the Kroger parking lot after the shooting on the North Avenue side

The incident happened around 2 p.m. today, March 10, when Richey – who had been working nearby – attempted to confront one of the suspects who was breaking into his truck. Richey, 38, slapped his hand on the window of his truck and the assailant shot him through the window.

The suspects left the scene in the black BMW with tinted windows and possibly a drive out tag.

The Kroger, infamously known by the nickname “Murder Kroger,” has been trying to rebrand itself as “BeltLine Kroger” with a new ramp to the Eastside Trail and major renovations to the store and parking area.

Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at (404) 577-8477, online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
