Emory University students were awakened by sirens early Tuesday after police chased carjacking suspects onto the campus, according to a report in the AJC. The carjacking took place in Tucker, but the suspects were chased to Emory’s main campus and the parking deck across from the Woodruff Physical Education Center. The suspects eluded capture and were believed to have fled the campus.

According to reports, a woman visiting from out of town fell asleep while waiting for her train and woke to find the man assaulting her. Anyone who may know the identity of the individual is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.

A man accused of killing four people in Atlanta is expected to appear in a DeKalb County courtroom today, according to a report from CBS46. Aeman Presley was indicted for the murders of Calvin Gholston, Karen Pearce, Dorian Jenkins and Tommy Mims in 2014. Presely targeted the three homeless men – Gholston, Jenkins and Mims – allegedly shooting them while they slept. He then shot Pearce, a hair stylist from Cobb County, while she was walking from a restaurant in downtown Decatur.

  1. This incident did NOT take place in Tucker. The North / Central precinct is located in Tucker, which is where the media may have received the information. That is NOT the same thing as the incident actually taking place in Tucker. Responsible media would print a retraction to this information as soon as they learned that the carjacking was in an area of unincorporated DeKalb County, south of Clarkston, near the Ga. Perimeter College campus, NOT Tucker even if you wanted to base it on the ridiculous, extended boundaries that are being proposed for a vote on Nov. 3.
