QuickTrip convenience store and gas stations is asking the city of Brookhaven to rezone 2 acres at 3249 Buford Highway NE to build a new store that sells alcohol.

The city’s Planning Commission will take up the request at its March 2 meeting.

The proposed development includes approximately 5,800 square feet of convenience store with eight fuel pumps stations. It would be located at the site where Cream Ultra Lounge was located and adjacent to Northeast Plaza Shopping Center.

QuickTrip currently operates a store across the street at the intersection of Buford Highway and North Cliff Valley Way. This store would be demolished and sold to a third party, according to documents filed with the city.
