
The city of Atlanta will legalize pickups at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport by Uber X and Lyft in a new ride-share assembly area, according to the AJC. The city has nixed plans to require fingerprint checks and allow the ride-share companies to use private background checks as an alternative. The city will also charge customers a per-ride fee of $1.50. The proposal is set to be considered by the Atlanta City Council transportation committee on Wednesday.
Beer industry veterans Mitch Steele, Carey Falcone and Bob Powers are developing a new craft brewery and brewpub in Poncey-Highland at 820 Ralph McGill Boulevard. The un-named brewpub, which will open in 2017, will also offer “artisanal food” along with a beer garden and rooftop deck, according to a media release.
Memphis-based Storage Development Partners is under contract to buy two-thirds of an acre from Parkside Partners and its medical office building at 2061 Peachtree Road in Buckhead to build a storage facility, according to BisNow. The 125,00-square-foot storage building would be designed to look like an office building.
