A Sandy Springs gun store and shooting range received “moderate” damage in a Dec. 4 fire, according to city spokesperson Sharon Kraun.
No injuries were reported in the fire at the Sandy Springs Gun Club and Range at 8040 Roswell Road, according to Kraun.
“Although the fire is still under investigation, it appears to be accidental in nature,” Kraun said in a written statement. “The areas where the gun and ammo were stored at the facility did not experience fire damage, only slight smoke damage.”
The Gun Club and Range opened six years ago in a building that was retrofitted for a gun range after previously housing a flooring company and rental business.
