Atlanta Public Schools, City Schools of Decatur, Fulton County Schools, DeKalb County Schools and Georgia State University have already announced they will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 29, due to the threat of wintry weather.

State government offices and Atlanta City Hall will also be closed tomorrow. As thousands of sports fans arrive in the city this week for the Super Bowl on Feb. 3, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said during a morning press conference that road crews were already treating some roads and brine trucks would be out night.

The mayor said crews would make sure that high traffic areas around Downtown, including Centennial Olympic Park, World Congress Center and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, were safe for pedestrians and traffic as a week of Super Bowl-related events kicks off.

Weather forecasters say metro Atlanta could get anywhere from a trace two inches of snow tomorrow.
