Decide DeKalb understands the power of a thriving business community and serves as a catalyst, providing resources and support to entrepreneurs and established businesses alike. This Economic Development Week, Decide DeKalb is offering a unique opportunity to:

  • Connect with valuable resources: Learn about funding organizations and gain insights to propel your business forward at “Business Resources 101” (May 6, 2-4 p.m.) held in partnership with the Better Business Bureau of Atlanta.
  • Shine on the silver screen: Calling all DeKalb business owners! Explore opportunities to partner with the film and television industry at the DeKalb Entertainment Commission & Georgia Production Partnership Networking event (May 6, 6-8 p.m.).

  • Unlock the power of Tax Allocation Districts (TADs): Join Decide DeKalb’s President, TAD expert Dorian DeBarr, for a virtual webinar (May 7, 2 p.m.) titled “The ABCs of TADs.” Learn how this economic development tool can fuel positive change in your community.
  • Navigate the landscape of opportunity zones: Dive deep into State Opportunity Zones at “Opportunity Unveiled” (May 7, 2 p.m.), a virtual session that will equip businesses with the knowledge to leverage this program and attract investment.
  • MADE In DeKalb Educator Graduation: Wednesday, May 8, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the DeKalb Conference Center. The community is invited to celebrate the achievements of DeKalb educators who have completed the MADE In DeKalb program, which equips teachers with the tools and resources to direct students in the manufacturing and logistics industries.
