The first annual Metro Atlanta Film Summit has announced that Eagle Rock Studios executives will headline its main panel on March 14.

President Gideon Amir and General Manager of Studio Operations Mike Clark are expected to discuss the 10 year anniversary of Eagle Rock Studios and the future of Georgia’s film industry. Eagle Rock Studios is located in Norcross and stretches across 465,000 square feet, according to the release. The facility includes two production offices and four 30,000-square-feet stages.

This is the first year of the Metro Atlanta Film Summit, which is presented by the Cherokee Office of Economic Development. The new event is an expansion of the Cherokee Film Summit, which celebrated its fifth anniversary last March.

The new summit will take place at the Yanmar Evo Center in Acworth from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and feature speakers and panels related to Georgia’s film industry.

In addition to the Eagle Rock Studios panel, the summit will also feature a separate mainstage presentation called From Passion to Profit: The Business of Film. This panel is set to be led by Kristy Clabaugh and John Thomas, partners at Element CPAs and Storyboard Financial Services; and City National Bank Senior Vice President Randie Brooks.
