1. Veteran WABE broadcaster Lois Reitzes signs off today
🎙️ After 46 years as the iconic voice of WABE, Lois Reitzes will sign off as host of her “City Lights” program today.
Reitzes’ final show will air live from 1-2 p.m. on 90.1 FM and stream live on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Reitzes said she will still contribute occasional interview segments and continue hosting WABE’s Atlanta Symphony Orchestrabroadcasts until next March. A new iteration of “City Lights” is set to premiere July 7.

2. Alliance Theatre names Brandon Kahn as managing director
🎭 The Alliance Theatre has chosen Brandon Kahn as its new managing director.
Kahn takes over for Mike Schleifer, who held the position for 11 years and left in March to become the next managing director of Lincoln Center Theatre in New York City.
Kahn has served as the general manager of the Alley Theatre in Houston, TX, since 2018, where he worked closely with productions like “Born With Teeth,” which is set to play in London’s West End this fall.

3. Atlanta’s tech talent pipeline seals the deal for Geotab’s US HQ
🇨🇦 When Ontario, Canada-based Geotab started hunting for a perfect spot to plant the flag for its US headquarters, the 25-year-old telematics company had its pick of tech-friendly cities.
The three finalists included Raleigh, Dallas, and Atlanta.
But a clear choice emerged quickly, said Mike Branch, Geotab’s VP of Data and Analytics, who has been with the company since 2016. And it was Atlanta’s engineering, data, and AI talent pipeline from local universities that tipped the scales in its favor.
