Creative Fuel

Aug. 6 — Atlanta runs on creativity and momentum. This week’s Sketchbook has both in full supply.

First, we’re stepping inside the flavor-forward world of JARDÍ Chocolates, where chocolatier Jocelyn Dubuke is turning bonbons into edible design statements. Her work is currently featured in “BITTERSWEET: The Design of Chocolate” at MODA, a multisensory exhibition that treats chocolate like the cultural treasure it is.

Then, we’re shifting from design to deadlines. Our roundup of fall artist calls is stacked with open submissions across Georgia—from spooky shows in Marietta to portraiture at Callanwolde and fiber art down in Valdosta. Whether you’re building a body of work or just looking for a reason to finish that piece in your garage, now’s the time.

Stay hungry!

Edible Intentions

🍫 Atlanta chocolatier Jocelyn Dubuke brings bonbons to the design world as part of “BITTERSWEET,” a multisensory exhibition at MODA, exploring how chocolate is shaped and shared. With every salt-tipped shell and citrus-lavender layer, JARDÍ Chocolates offers a taste of edible art. On view through October 12 at the Museum of Design Atlanta.
