Ways of seeing
Aug. 13 — Atlanta reveals itself differently depending on where you stand – or in some cases, where you ride.
For fashion photographer Timofey Abel, the view is often from behind the lens of his Fujifilm camera at editorial shoots. At just 20, he’s shot for “British Vogue,” built an international network of collaborators, and is on a mission to keep Atlanta’s creative community thriving. His recent “Timeless Light & Storytelling” talk drew more than 100 people, proving that a city known for exporting talent can also be a place to sustain it.
For Géoving “Geo” Gérard, the view came mile by mile, after he challenged himself to bike every street inside I-285. Photos taken on Gérard’s 13,000-mile journey document the shifting face of his hometown and comprise “All the Roads Taken,” his debut show at Gallery 100.
Different lenses. Different routes. One city worth exploring in full.
Keep your eyes open,
