On May 14, the Sundown Social series returns to the City Green, a two-acre turf field and park between Mount Vernon Highway and Sandy Springs City Hall.

The weekly outdoor family gathering within the downtown City Springs district pairs bands with yard games on select Thursdays from May 14 through October 27. From 6-8 p.m., invites guests to enjoy warm evenings and the park’s relaxed atmosphere.

Sundown Social

City officials said this year’s Sundown Social has an expanded lineup of crowd-favorite bands, bringing a dynamic soundtrack to the outdoor series.  The event features a variety of classic lawn games, including cornhole, checkers, and giant four-in-a-row. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own games.

The Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center’s outdoor bar is open during the event, offering beer, wine, soda, and a signature cocktail of the month. Sundown Social also offers an opportunity for young families to enjoy the splash pad in the warmer months.

The city encourages guests to explore restaurants around City Springs and bring their meals to the City Green.

“With enhanced entertainment and a refreshed experience, Sundown Social 2026 is set to be the go-to destination for easygoing evenings and community connection,” a city announcement says. “It’s also an ideal option for guests dining at nearby restaurants to arrive early and enjoy live music before their reservations. “
