Applications are still open for VOX Atlanta‘s summer program for teens, VOX Media Cafe.
The free opportunity will offer two sessions (June 1-12 and June 15-26) for young people ages 13 to 19. VOX is a nonprofit media company led by professionals that offers teens an unfiltered voice and training in journalism.
The program includes workshops on reporting, interviewing, podcasting, photography, videography, editing, and more. Guest speakers will also share their expertise and take the teens on field trips around metro Atlanta.
At the end of the program, each student will have created a multimedia project of their choice, and will present it during a showcase.
Applications are open until May 1. A recommendation letter and a $100 registration fee are required, but the fee is returned upon completion of the program and can be waived upon request.
