The fifth-annual Virginia Highland Porchfest and will bring more than 40,000 residents and visitors together to enjoy music and community on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The heart of Porchfest is the free live music. Virginia Highland’s Porchfest will feature 100+ local musicians across a wide range of genres. These talented bands will perform on 50+ porches throughout the neighborhood, creating an engaging and fun musical experience for all. Grab your friends, grab a drink, and come discover your new favorite artists.

Rock n Relay
Lace up your sneakers and crank up the volume! The Rock ‘n Run is BACK this year with a twist. You can now participate as a solo runner OR as a relay. Form a squad of 1-4 runners and rock the half-mile laps as a team. Fewer teammates? No problem! Run more laps and show off your endurance. Rock n’ roll outfits are highly encouraged! Register here.
Kids Corner
Our littlest Porchfest goers can check out the Kids Corner starting at 11 .a.m. for some fun in the sun! Enjoy free and paid activities, including bounce houses, a magician, face painting, arts and crafts, and more.

Additional Information:
- PLEASE be respectful of local residences and their homes/yards; Porchfest music is viewable from the streets only.
- Do not request to enter any private residences for viewing or restroom access.
- Limited parking is available, and VHDA encourages festival goers to walk, bike, and rideshare.
- New this year! Bike Valet at the “Field of Dreams,” located at the corner of Ponce de Leon Place and Virginia Avenue: 689 Virginia Ave NE
- The event will have portable restrooms
- 2x the Infrastructure: Doubling security, restrooms, and staffing across the entire festival.
- 4 Decentralized Zones: Reducing congestion with self-sufficient quadrants, each including their own Restrooms, Vendors, EMS, Water Stations, and Bars.
- Pedestrian Corridors: Dedicating pedestrian-only streets for easier festival flow.
- Dedicated Sanitation: Increasing trash cans and sanitation crews to help keep the neighborhood looking its best.
