Tennyson Alvene Smith

A 25-year-old Sandy Springs man may be responsible for as many as 70 identity thefts in Georgia and Florida, Sandy Springs police say.

Police arrested Tennyson Alvene Smith at his home on Glenridge Stratford Drive on March 4 on charges of Financial Transaction Card Fraud, police said. Smith was suspected of using a credit card stolen from another resident of the Stratford Apartments to purchase food, a Sandy Springs police spokesman reported.

Investigators discovered Smith had received a number of packages using various names. They also found financial documents, government documents and items believed to have been purchased with stolen credit cards, the spokesman reported.
