Sandy Springs police completed their move into a new headquarters over the weekend.

“Our phone system worked right away. Our computer system went up right away. Everything went off without a hitch,” said Major David Bertrand, who coordinated the move for the department.

The department moved its headquarters from an office building on Barfield Road to a pair of office buildings in the Morgan Falls Office Park on Roswell Road, the same office park that houses Sandy Spring City Hall. The new building provides the department with additional space.

The move took about 2 1/2 days and was mostly completed by midday June 25.
